Jupiternose purred, as if all the troubles had been forgotten.

"He will probably stop first at the abandoned twoleg nest, that is the most logical choice." Lynxeye meowed to Jupiternose to reassure her. "That is close enough for him to be able to return if need be."

Hawkwing nodded his agreement.

Stonepelt thought. 'I sure am glad Lionpaw isn't making any trips.'
Spottedheart watched.
Duskpelt came out of the elders den, he walked to the sunning rock with Patch by his side.

Jayflight and Willowshine dipped their heads to Duskpelt and Patch as they passed.

Duskpelt smiled to the two warriors. He dipped his head in greet.
Patch smiled and did the same as his friend.

Willowshine shook her fur. "I am off to hunt." She told Jupiternose, who nodded, putting her nose back into Floatfire's fur as if she didnt want to leave the comfort of her mate's side.

Floatfire put his head over Jupiternose's neck in a kitty hug. "He'll be fine," He whispered to her. "it's a small world, he's bound to meet someone to help him."

"I hope your right." Jupiternose meowed.

Jayflight stood up to follow Willowshine, but Hawkwing grabbed his tail. "Nope, your due on your first patrol. Come with me and Lynxeye, will you?" He asked.

Jayflight nodded and the three cats set out.

Patch settled down in a warm place. He yawned and begain talking to Duskpelt.
A fox appeared and leaped at Patch, killing him.
Patch let out a rusty yowl before being dragged away.
Duskpelt yowled and struggled to stand.

Jupiternose saw that the patrol wouldnt notice, since they were long gone now. She thought about it for a few seconds and jumped at the fox, her paws extended in front of her. She unsheathed her claws and grabbed the fox's lower back, hissing loudly. "Hey, fox dung! Let Patch go!" She spat.

Warfeather tackled the fox and broke it's grip from Patch.

Lionpaw watched in admiration.

Dangersight carefully brought Patch to her den.

Jupiternose hissed and rakes her claws viciously along the fox's flank.

DangerSightpulled her friend off the fox and It ran off "Let it go" she meowed.

Warfeather breathed heavily.

Jupiternose sighed. "Fine." She meowed.

Lynxeye sat next to Warfeather. "You okay?" He asked.

Warfeather shook her black head.

"Then come here, lets get you to the Medicine Cat's den." Lynxeye meowed gently, nosing Warfeather to her paws.

Dangersight ran to Warfeather, her mother "Come on ma" she purred.

Warfeather shook her head "Im sorry, but, I can't walk." she mewed.

Lynxeye gently picked Warfeather up by her scruff. "Then I will carry you." He meowed through fur.

Warfeather lied down in the medicine cat den, she looked to Lynxeye and Dangersight "You two look out for eachother. After RageStar is gone, DangerSight will be the last remaining decendent of Warfang and Lynxeye will be named leader. Sadly, I will not see that day, nor the day after this." She slowly closed her eyes as she spoke.

Lynxeye shook his head. "No, dont leave us." He begged.

Warfeather smiled, touching Lynxeye's cheek with her paw "Don't worry Lynxeye" she meowed and closed her eyes.

Lynxeye buried his nose into Warfeather's fur, choking out last prayers to StarClan.

Hawkwing touched his tail to Lynxeye's shoulder and stared down at his daughter, sadness clouding his gaze. He gently set his muzzle into Warfeather's fur.

Warfeather entered StarClan with no regrets.

DangerSight sighed "Goodbye mother" she meowed softly.

RageStar watched her daughter enter StarClan.

Lynxeye began to groom Warfeather's fur gently so that she was well groomed when everyone mourned her.

Hawkwing got up and padded towards his mate.

"It is almost time, death will come" RageStar meowed to Hawkwing.

DangerSight gulped, she knew she might never find a mate she actually loved, with RageStar's death, she would end Warfang's line of great warriors.

Hawkwing licked his mate almost in disbelief.

Lynxeye licked Dangersight. "Dont worry, Warfang's bloodline wont end just yet. I am sure you will find a mate and have a big, healthy litter of kits." He purred to his daughter. "And if not, maybe before Ragestar goes, Hawkwing will father one more litter." He meowed.
