Sockpaw's Prophecy

Here is Sockpaw's prophecy.



Silvermoon whistled happily. She and Skeeter had left the Clan due to a strange prophecy foretold by Splashfoot, her father. The silvery-red colored tom had told her that she and her mate had to kill something near twoleg place and recruite members. Skeeter came back with some birds and gave them both to Silvermoon. "I hope your getting more than just fat on the meals I have been feeding you." Skeeter purred happily. Silvermoon nodded. "I will kit soon." She purred. Skeeter smiled. "Thats great!" He said.


One week later.....

Silvermoon yowled in pain as the last kit was delivered. Skeeter smiled. "Its a female." He said, pushing the kit next to her belly. "They are gorgeous." Skeeter said. Silvermoon nodded weakly. "What are their names?" Asked Skeeter. Silvermoon looked at the white she-kit with rusty colored ears. "Icekit." She said, waving her tail over the newly named kit. Skeeter looked at the only tom. He was rusty colored with black front paws and white back paws. "Firkit." He replied, licking the kit. "The gray she-kit is Ravenkit." Silvermoon purred.

Skeeter took a careful look at the last one. She was black, white, orange, tortoiseshell and had white paws. "Sockkit makes a good name." He purred with amusement, licking the kit who stubbornly mewled in protest. Silvermoon smiled and she closed her eyes as Skeeter went out of their den to hunt.

Silvermoon walked through a beautiful clearing surrounded by pines and firs. Suddenly, a blue and black feather landed on a pond in front of her she had sat on. It made a dropping noise and the water shimmered to show Sockkit. Her mother and father sat on the other side of the water and stared at her with their bright eyes. "A kit with two colors will shape the destiny of one Clan." They mewed in unison, touching the water and making the picture before Silvermoon disappear. "But even some of the most colorful kits fade..." They said as the feather disappeared.
